Hartigan was driving a 2009 black Silverado northbound on Stringfellow Rd. at high speeds, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office crash report. Suddenly, the Silverado veered off the roadway to the left, entering the property of Palms of Pine Island.

The vehicle drove through a concrete flower bed, then continued in a northwest direction, propelling through a fence and colliding with a tree.

The vehicle would continue moving as it drove through a building. But, the Silverado soon came to rest on the north side of the building in the Palm Plaza parking lot, per the crash report.

A wrecker removed the Silverado. Hartigan was airlifted, having non-incapacitating injuries, to Lee Memorial Hospital.
