Lee County sheriff’s deputy name released after elbowing teen

Law enforcement has confirmed the name of a sheriff’s deputy who elbowed a teen after he had been detained.

On Friday, Lee County Sheriff’s Office placed Deputy Blake Grossi under administrative leave after he was recorded by a bystander elbowing a suspect in the face after detainment.

Deputies were arresting Bienvenido Roman, 17, who Grossi elbowed in the face while other responding deputies detained him.

According to LCSO, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
