In the last month, there have been two separate incidents of guns stolen from homes or cars in Cape Coral.

The first incident happened when the home owners were on vacation. The suspects went into a home and took an AR-15, a rifle, and a shotgun.

The second one happened early Monday morning when the victim went to his car and found out it had been gone through over the night and his semi-automatic pistol, along with the holster and magazine were stolen out of the center console.

The owner of the gun says he is worried that something bad will happen with his gun in the hands of the wrong person.

“You know it’s a firearm, its my firearm and I’m in charge if it and I’m scared somebody will use it to do something they are not supposed to,” the gun owner said.

Police ask you to report any information you may have about the stolen guns.
