FHP trooper treated for minor injuries in Collier County crash

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a state trooper, who was injured, in Collier County Thursday.

The crash happened at the intersection with Immokalee Road and Oil Well Road around 12:25 p.m.

According to FHP, the highway patrol car was rear ended by another vehicle, and the trooper was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was said to be at fault.

UPDATE: The trooper’s injuries were minor, and they were released from the hospital and at home.

No other injuries have been reported.

There were minor damages in the crash.

The scene is clear, and the crash is under investigation.
