USDA reports Premium Foods USA Inc. is recalling over an estimated 76,000 pounds of various catfish products that were not properly inspected in the U.S.

These products were shipped to Florida retail locations as well as Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

The catfish products were originally imported from Bangladesh and Myanmar, which are countries prohibited from exporting fish products to the U.S.

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to eat them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place they were bought.
