Collier County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a man over the weekend for illegally selling liquor out of a boat store that was only authorized to sell beer and wine.

Troy Smith, 39, was arrested on Sunday at Keewaydin Island after an undercover deputy purchased a rum and coke from the boat store he was operating. The boat store is licensed by the state to sell other alcoholic drinks, but the sale of any liquor is prohibited.

All liquor was seized by the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and evidence was placed into the Fort Myers district vault.

Smith was taken to the Collier County jail.
