Fatal wreck causes complete roadblock on SR-31 in DeSoto County

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol are responding to a fatal wreck on Highway 31 near Durrance Road.

The wreck reportedly occurred at SR-31 and South East Mongomery Circle in Arcadia around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

As of around 1:30 p.m., FHP reported a complete roadblock on SR-31. They say the crash involved a single vehicle, of which the occupant was killed, and is under investigation.
