2 juveniles shot in drive-by shooting at Winkler Ave. and Metro Pkwy.

Two juveniles were shot in a drive-by shooting at Winkler Avenue and Metro Parkway in Fort Myers Friday morning, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.

The two young men came into Lee Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds.

Hospital staff alerted police around 3:14 a.m. when the first victim arrived with a gunshot wound to the forearm.

The second victim, who arrived while police were investigating, had been shot in the buttocks.

Both juveniles were treated and released.

The victims told police the incident happened at the intersection of Winkler Ave. and Metro Pkwy.

The investigation is still active, but police believe this to have been an isolated incident and no threat to the public.
