In today’s world, we are all depending on technology to work and finish class assignments. It’s become evident that computer programming is more important than ever. So today’s “Lindsey’s lesson” highlights code.org, a site that offers free programs for pre-K all the way to adults teaching your children computer sciences. Lindsey recommends a section called “Hour of code.” You can pick a game, like a dance party, pick the age, then it has you create a dance party. You have to code to figure out what character you use, where the character stands and when they move to the music and the song type. The only way to do all that is to code. They also have “take a code break” classes. You can watch reruns or you can join live every Wednesday at 1 p.m. They have interactive classrooms where you learn about computer programming. If you don’t have a computer at home, they also recommend coding apps to download. Parents, if you feel uncomfortable teaching computer science, don’t worry – this site makes it easy.
