Restaurants around Southwest Florida want to help you celebrate mom. They’ve set up special menus for curbside or take out for Mother’s Day. And when you serve it up, you can bring along that side of flowers, safely.

Jean Marie Rakich the general manager of Fort Myers Florist says, “We have a lot more people buying flowers because they can’t see their mothers.”

While decorative plant sales are reportedly down in light of COVID-19.

Rakich says his shop has had to adapt, “One of the things that we had to do was we had to make sure that we only can sell the items that we have. So we did eliminate some of the items we usually have for Mother’s Day just because we could not get them.”

The shop itself is closed to customers, but you can ring the doorbell and pick up your order from a table.

“We’re doing contact-less deliveries also,” Rakich explained. “We make sure that we take every safety procedure that we need to follow the CDC guidelines.”

People are overcoming the distance to show their appreciation.
