Daughter throws 90th birthday bash for her mother outside of her window

It’s been two months since Luann Flammia has been able to see her mother, Lenore, at the American House Fort Myers.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visits are limited.

“I used to go every other day to see her and you know, it’s been really hard,” she said.

But she’s not letting that stop her from celebrating her mom’s 90th birthday.

With signs, balloons and the help of American House staff, she and her family are throwing a birthday bash — through the window.

Her reaction — priceless.

“Just to see her light up when we walked up and wave and acknowledge everybody, it was really special,” Flammia said, unable to hold back tears. “A little bit emotional. So happy we did this for her. It was so special.”

It was a party for the ages.

Lenore also got a little pampering for her birthday. Staff at the American House Fort Myers did her hair and nails so she could enjoy her special day in style.
