Fort Myers-based Storm Smart said it will donate a whole-home hurricane protection system to a Southwest Florida nurse each month this summer.

“In honor of National Nurses Day, providing these state-of-the-art systems to nurses is Storm Smart’s way of saying ‘thank you’ for the resilience, courage and tireless efforts of nurses across the region,” the company said.

“Giving back to our community is an important core value of Storm Smart, and we are always looking for additional ways to support those in need,” said Executive Chairman Brian Rist.

“What better way to honor those on the front line of health care than to celebrate National Nurses Day through our We Care Program and use those donations to protect those who have protected us throughout this pandemic.”
