We learned more about 17-year-old Carsyn Davis Wednesday, a Cypress Lake High School student who died of COVID-19 recently.

Although WINK News has respected Davis’ family, who asked for privacy during their time of grief, there’s evidence throughout the community she had a huge impact on many individuals.

Davis’ family lost a daughter and a sister, and the Cypress Lake Panthers family lost a student and a friend. But it’s clear the rising senior was much more to all.

Thanks to Facebook posts, we learned Carsyn was a young woman who touched everyone she met.

When Davis’ turned 15 years old a couple years ago, her sister posted on social media describing her sister, as the, “Best gal”– “Kind”– “Intelligent”– “Beautiful”– “Artistic” — and said “P.S. — stop growing up.”

Carsyn had a musical mind. She was a center vocalist for her school orchestra. A friend wrote in a post she will miss messing around in musical theater together.

Davis was girl who also loved of all things, bowling included.

A charity page for the Davis family is a shining example of the joy she brought to others. Donations small and large have been made by friends and strangers.

A part of First You Church since the sixth grade, loved ones said Carsyn “loved Jesus with all her heart and loved to be in his church.” Her church also wrote she loved to give gifts.
