Saturday’s Coronavirus Updates: 9,585 new cases reported in Florida, 24 new deaths

As of 11 a.m. Saturday, there have been 132,545 positive cases of the coronavirus in the state. The case count includes 130,092 Florida residents and 2,453 non-Florida residents. There are 3,390 deaths reported and 14,136 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 1,830,791 tests administered in Florida. A total of 132,545 tests have come back positive, and 1,696,980 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending, according to the FDOH website.

Lee County: 4,956 (up from 4,757) – 152 deaths
Collier County: 3,966 (up from 3,778) – 70 deaths
Charlotte County: 687 (up from 657) – 76 deaths
DeSoto County: 574 (up from 539) – 10 deaths
Glades County: 158 (up from 151) – 1 death
Hendry County: 895 (up from 851) – 25 deaths (1 new)

In the past 24 hours, SWFL reported the results of 2,755 tests. Of those tests, 500 were positive. That’s 18.15% positive Saturday, bringing the seven-day average to 18.13%
