Monday’s Coronavirus Updates: State reports 6,336 new positive cases, 47 new deaths

As of 11 a.m. Monday, there have been 206,447 positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in the state. The case count includes 203,376 Florida residents and 3,035 non-Florida residents. There are 3,778 Florida resident deaths reported, 102 non-resident deaths and 16,045 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 2,233,940 tests administered in Florida. A total of 206,447 tests have come back positive, and 2,027,493 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending or inconclusive, according to the FDOH website.

Florida resident deaths: 3,778 (up from 3,731)
Non-resident deaths: 102 (up from 101)

Total recorded cases in SWFL: 15,713 (up from 15,451)
Deaths: 367 (up from 364)

Lee County: 7,661 (up from 7,498) – 167 deaths (2 new)
Collier County: 5,076 (up from 5,019) – 85 deaths
Charlotte County: 935 (up from 922) – 77 deaths (1 new)
DeSoto County: 752 (up from 748) – 10 deaths
Glades County: 188 (up from 179) – 1 death
Hendry County: 1,101 (up from 1,085) – 27 deaths

In the past 24 hours, Southwest Florida reported the results of 1,207 tests, with 262 positive – or 21.71%. That brings the 7-day average of positive results to 23.87%.
