Friday’s Coronavirus Updates: 11,433 new cases, 93 new deaths reported in Florida

As of 11 a.m. Friday, there have been 244,151 positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in the state. The case count includes 240,710 Florida residents and 3,351 non-Florida residents. There are 4,102 Florida resident deaths reported, 101 non-resident deaths and 17,602 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 2,423,992 tests administered in Florida. A total of 244,151 tests have come back positive, and 2,177,476 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending or inconclusive, according to the FDOH website.

Total recorded cases in SWFL: 17,550 (up from 17,044)

Lee County: 8,574 (up from 8,340) – 176 deaths (3 new)
Collier County: 5,777 (up from 5,577) – 85 deaths (6 new)
Charlotte County: 1,048 (up from 1,004) – 77 deaths (1 new)
DeSoto County: 809 (up from 799) – 11 deaths
Glades County: 196 (up from 189) – 1 death
Hendry County: 1,146 (up from 1,135) – 27 deaths (1 new)

In the past 24 hours, SWFL reported the results of 2,563 tests, 506 of which were positive.
That’s 19.74% positive Friday, bringing the seven-day average to 21.73%.
