If you get a coronavirus test you now could be waiting more than a week for results. But there are some places that get your results in hours or even minutes.

At the Vava clinic, you can get your results in 15 minutes. It costs $105 and they don’t take insurance.

They have a limited number of tests each day.

There is also Advance Medical of Naples. There you can get your results on the same day.

It costs $150 and they only have the capacity for 150 tests per day.

The Centurylink testing sites have been testing about 1,200 people per day. And as those numbers grow so does the time it takes to get a result.

WINK News spoke with one woman who said she took the test two weeks ago she still doesn’t have her results and can’t return to work until she does.

“I understand the whole city is being tested I’m not saying that they should have the results faster, it’s July 9 and I don’t have the results. It’s very discouraging and I’m out of work for already a week I don’t know how long if I get retested how long that test is going to take to come back,” said Lisa Martes Rodriguez.

Rodriguez sent WINK a screenshot from the test result website and it says her results aren’t available.

She called the Department of Health and was told to get retested.

Now she’s worried she’s going to miss another week or two of work just to repeat the process.

Governor Ron DeSantis shared a new plan with on Thursday to help get results faster, especially for those showing symptoms.

It is important to know you can not get your test results from the health department over the phone.

We reached out to them to ask if there have been issues with getting results back or if they’ve seen longer delays in getting results but I did not get a response.
