Friday, it’s confirmed an ethics complaint filed against Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno has been dismissed.
Rodney Shoap, a former Lee County sheriff, filed the ethics complaint against Marceno in August 2019.
The complaint was based around Marceno’s prior relationship with Deanna Williams and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s decision not to launch a criminal investigation.
