The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is looking for people who may have had contact with a man falsely claiming to be a representative of Sunseeker Resorts in Charlotte Harbor.

CCSO said they were contacted by the resort on May 8 about a man who had presented himself as a representative during a potential real estate purchase.

The man presented a business card containing the Sunseeker Resorts logo and contact information, but Sunseeker Resorts said the man is not and has never been an employee or representative of the resort. A portion of the contact information was determined to be fraudulent and not connected to Sunseeker Resorts.

CCSO said that if you have had contact with or conducted any business with anyone who was presenting himself as a representative of Sunseeker Resorts in any capacity involving real estate, contact Detective Freytag with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crime Unit at 941-639-2101.
