Wednesday’s Coronavirus Updates: 9,446 new cases and 216 new deaths reported in Florida

As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, there have been 451,423 positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in the state. The case count includes 446,251 Florida residents and 5,172 non-Florida residents. There are 6,333 Florida resident deaths reported, 124 non-resident deaths and 25,499 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 3,531,721 tests administered in Florida. A total of 451,423 tests have come back positive, and 3,075,342 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending or inconclusive, according to the FDOH website.

Florida resident deaths: 6,333 (up from 6,117)
Non-resident deaths: 124 (up from 123)

Lee County: 14,877 (up from 14,716) – 279 deaths (7 new)
Collier County: 9,178 (up from 9,069) – 120 deaths
Charlotte County: 1,807 (up from 1,784) – 85 deaths (1 new)
DeSoto County: 1,240 (up from 1,227) – 14 deaths
Glades County: 390 (up from 389) – 3 deaths
Hendry County: 1,606 (up from 1,589) – 34 deaths
