The City of Sanibel wants businesses in the community to take part in a survey evaluating the 2018 red tide impacts on local economy.

According to the city, University of Florida and Sea Grant Florida are conducting a survey and evaluating the economic impacts of the 2018 red tide outbreak on Florida’s marine and recreation industries.

Although the city is specifically encouraging its businesses in its community to take part, the survey is not limited to Sanibel businesses. Any businesses in the industries impacted by red tide in 2018 can take the survey.

The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, Sept. 28.
