Englewood woman seriously injured in Charlotte County crash

A woman from Englewood, 55, has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a car crash on County Road 776 and Wilmington Boulevard at 12:09 a.m. Friday in Charlotte County.

The woman’s SUV was traveling westbound on County Road 776 when it traveled off the road to the left and entered the median, west of Wilmington Boulevard. There, the front of the SUV collided with the rear of a front end loader. The SUV came to rest in the median
and the driver was transported to a local area hospital in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
