Vice President Pence’s vacation to Sanibel canceled

Vice President Mike Pence’s vacation to Sanibel that was expected to begin Tuesday has now been canceled.

A scheduled Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) that was in place for Southwest Florida International Airport and part of Sanibel Island has now been lifted.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno also confirmed the cancellation and said the reason was unknown.

The vice president has vacationed on Sanibel Island for 30 years.
