The Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival said on Facebook that the Art Festival and Market Place has canceled in-person activities for the year.
The Cape Coral Rotary Club, who sponsors the event, says they’re “disappointed.” But, due to coronavirus, they say it wouldn’t be possible to hold it in person safely. Instead, they will hold a virtual-only event.
The virtual event will be from Jan. 4 to 31 and will be available 24 hours a day. They will be holding demonstrations and tours.
According to Lee County Tourist Development Council and Lee County Visitors and Convention Bureau, Cape Coral Arts Festival and Market Place is Lee County’s largest special event bringing in over 120,000 attendees.
