The mother of the “zip-tie guy” – the man seen carrying zip ties inside the U.S. Capitol – has been arrested.

The FBI arrested Lisa Eisenhart, a Georgia nurse, in Nashville on Saturday. Investigators say she traveled with her son, Erik Munchel, to Washington D.C. on Jan. 6 for the rally that turned violent. They say she also had zip ties and was part of the group that rushed the Capitol. Surveillance footage captured both on the Senate floor after the assault on the building, officials said.

“As the Congress was engaged in the official business of certifying the electoral college vote, Eisenhart and Munchel knowingly and willfully joined a mob of individuals to forcibly enter the U.S. Capitol with the intent to cause a civil disturbance designed to impede, disrupt, and disturb the orderly conduct of business by the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate,” said the criminal complaint.

Records show she and her son used to live in Southwest Florida.

Munchel, 30, was arrested in Nashville last week. He was a former employee at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille on Fort Myers Beach.

Eisenhart and her son face multiple federal charges, including conspiracy with persons “known and unknown.”
