A man driving a semi died on I-75 in Sarasota County. (CREDIT: FL-511 traffic cam) A 60-year-old Port St. Lucie man died in a vehicle crash on I-75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the man was driving a semi in the northbound lanes of I-75 when he failed to maintain his travel lane near mile marker 191. The semi went over the cable barrier and continued to travel about 1,500 feet prior to coming to a rest in the grassy median. The man was taken to Venice Hospital where was pronounced deceased. Florida Highway Patrol investigators remain on scene investigating the crash.
