Lee County government confirmed Thursday Florida has soft-launched its statewide online pre-registration system for the coronavirus vaccine.

According to the Lee County Facebook post, those eligible for the vaccine in the state can visit the MyVaccine website to become pre-registered for the COVID-19 vaccine.

We went through the step-by-step process with someone who is eligible for the vaccine, and it worked. The individual received a response they would be immediately contacted when a vaccine is available for them.

NOTE: During the soft launch of the statewide system, not all Florida counties are active for pre-registration on the website. If you live in a county not currently available, it will be coming soon.

A quick walkthrough

  • You will want to select your home county from the drop down menu. Then, click “get in line”
  • The next page asks for your information, including name, zip code and phone number
  • It also asks if you use an epi-pen, or if you’re a frontline medical worker and if you’re a Florida resident
  • Then, it asks if you want to be contacted on your phone by text or email
  • Once you fill that out, you are directed to another page that tells you whether you’re eligible or not

Below is an example of what the State website showed the individual who successfully became pre-registered for the vaccine.
