With the Super Bowl just over a week away, everyone wants the best view of the game they can get.

So, experts say, now is a perfect time to get a new television.

Here’s what you need to know to score a great deal:

When it comes to TVs, there are quite a few options to choose from. So with the help of Best Buy’s TV Referee Tyler Nary, we explore the downs of buying a new tv.

The first thing to consider is size. Remember, you measure a tv diagonally. “Just because it says it’s 60 inches wide doesn’t mean you’re limited to a 55 inch TV, you can actually put a 65 in a 60-inch opening,” said Nary.

Second down, consider your budget. Let’s say you’re in the market for a 75-inch tv. A standard LED 75-inch tv at its cheapest would be about $700. The next tier would be a Q-LED tv for $2800. The top tier would be about $4000.

“Probably the most expensive TVs is going to be the latest technology which is OLED which stands for organic LED,” Nary said.

Be sure the money you’re spending is worth it. Picture quality is in the eye of the beholder.

Third down? Know the features of the tv including the number of HDMI ports and sound quality.

“Ask the sales associate to grab a remote and listen to the tv audio itself,” said Nary.

Fourth down, and probably one of the most forgotten, is the warranty. Do you go for it? Or punt it away?

Shopping expert Sara Skirboll says you may already be covered. “A lot of times you’re going to find warranties that have you protected through your credit card or your bank,” said Skirboll.

If you’re not covered that way, know what your warranty does cover, from power surges to the tv falling off of the wall.

And, Skirboll wants to remind you that you may be able to score extra savings by shopping in a certain section.

“Don’t forget those closeouts and even open box prices,” she said.

Super Bowl LV will be on February 7 at 6:30 p.m. on WINK-TV as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
