Coldest air so far this winter arrives in SWFL Thursday morning

Published: Updated:

Happy Wednesday, Southwest Florida! After a chilly start to the day, highs peaked in the 60s with tons of sunshine.

Wednesday morning’s lows are not the coldest we’ll see this week. In fact, we’ll likely wake up to the coldest morning so far this winter tomorrow!

Lows will dip into the 30s and 40s for the entire region. Our current forecast in Fort Myers is 41° and our lowest temperature so far is 43°.

This prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Watch and Frost Advisory for Thursday from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m.

If you’re ready for some warmth, we approach the upper 70s and lower 80s this weekend ahead of a cold front.
