The City of Naples is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the year — Cars on Fifth.

A mask is needed to be admitted to the Cars on Fifth on Saturday.

There will be over 600 hot rods revving up their engines this weekend along 5th Avenue.

Friday, exotic cars were sold for large amounts of money during a charity auction in downtown Naples. There was a much smaller crowd out on Friday than the one that is expected on Saturday’s 17th annual event.

The Naples Ferrari Club told WINK News that they’re expecting around 12,000 people since the city did give them a limit this year. This is smaller than the 35,000 people who attended last year.

If you’re not going to the event but will be near 5th Ave. tomorrow, beware. Naples Police Department says the street will be shutdown, and drivers should avoid the area.

Phil Trigiani, a car fanatic that flew in from Canada, says this is the only car show on his list that hasn’t been canceled this year. “I think traffic will be down a little bit, there’s been some events throughout the week and traffics been down a bit but people have been safe and cautious and that’s exactly what I want,” Trigiani said.

Cars on Fifth organizers say there will also be hand sanitizing stations and temperature checks available.

Cars on Fifth is $30 per person. If you’re worried about event parking, there is a free shuttle that will be taking attendees to and from the Collier County Government Center lots.
