North Fort Myers woman wakes up to front yard damage from hit and run

Published: Updated:

A North Fort Myers woman woke up Saturday morning to find the fence and cars in her front yard smashed.

This happened along Laurel Drive near Suncoast Estates.

Chrissie-Lee Glotta says that the driver took off, leaving behind car parts on the ground and white paint on one of her cars.

Her family looked up the part numbers that were left behind and determined that they came from a Chevy Trailblazer between the model years of 2002 and 2009.

Glotta shared these photos of the damage:

“It destroyed everything. We put a lot of money into that truck. And then it hit the other truck and then it hit another truck. Just put those lights on there and everything and it was nice and pretty. Now it’s not pretty no more,” Glotta said.

Glotta and the rest of her family say they’ve already received some possible tips from people in the community about the vehicle involved.

If you know anything about the driver or the vehicle, call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 239-477-1000.
