Motorcyclist killed in Cape Coral crash

A 20-year-old Cape Coral motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash.

Police said Tyler James Harris was headed northwest on Nicholas Parkway, approaching SW 11th Street, when an SUV driven by a 42-year-old Cape Coral man pulled into his path from SW 11th St.

The driver told police he didn’t see any approaching traffic on Nicholas when he pulled out to make a left turn.

Harris collided with the side of the SUV and was thrown from his motorcycle. Medics attempted CPR but he died at the scene.

The crash happened at 12:11 p.m., and police are still investigating. They said alcohol/drugs are an unknown factor at this time, as is speed.
