Cape Coral Police Department is searching for the person who shot and killed 19-year-old Kevin Palmer back in April.

Palmer was at a party in a Cape Coral home when he was killed. The house hade been rented by a Lehigh Acres family for a birthday party. An Instagram personality posted about it, and more people showed up.

A fight broke out, and Palmer was shot.

Police believe more people in the community have information.

“If you were at that party, but you saw nothing, that’s fine,” Master Corporal Phil Mullen said. “If you haven’t spoken to our detectives, we still want you to do that. You might be able to identify a second person, who can identify a third person, who can identify a fourth who has critical information. So really anybody who was at that party, we want to talk to.”

We spoke to Palmer’s mother, who said she wants justice for her son.

CCPD is asking anyone with related information to contact them by calling (239) 574-3223, submitting tips at CCPD Tips, anonymously through CityProject, sending a message through CCPD social media platforms or calling Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Use Case Report # 21-008921.
