packing thanksgiving boxes The principal of Babcock Neighborhood School sent a letter to parents saying that the school will be closed for more than a week. The school is citing a staffing shortage for closure due to widespread quarantine and sickness. Babcock Neighborhood School will be closed from Monday, August 16 to Wednesday, August 25. Before school reopens on Thursday, August 26, they will be doing a deep cleaning. Make-up days for school will be October 18-21 and March 14-17, 2022. The school says it will be committed to the well-being of all staff and students. They are aware of the inconvenience that this will create and the decision was not made lightly. Principal Shannon Treece says she’s optimistic this will help mitigate the spread of sickness. You can read the letter below:
