The following is weekly COVID-19 vaccine, case, and death data as reported by the Florida Department of Health for Aug. 20 – Aug. 27.

FLORIDA RESIDENTS

  • 3,179,714 CASES / 43,979 DEATHS
    • up from 3,027,954 cases / 42,252 deaths
    • 151,760 new cases reported
    • 1,727 new deaths reported
  • 12,916,873people have received at least one dose
    • up from 12,691,414
    • 225,459 new people have received at least one dose
  • 10,785,185 people are fully vaccinated
    • up from 10,530,911
    • 254,274 new people fully vaccinated

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA RESIDENTS

SWFL:

  • 183,756 CASES (deaths are no longer separated by county)
    • up from 171,611
    • 12,145 new cases reported
  • 858,662 people have received at least one dose
    • up from 844,471
    • 14,191 new people have received at least one dose

CHARLOTTE COUNTY

  • 18,626 CASES
    • up from 17,315
    • 1,311 new cases reported
  • 122,515 people have received at least one dose
    • up from 121,050
    • 1,465 new people have received at least one dose

COLLIER COUNTY

  • 48,574 CASES
    • up from 46,296
    • 2,278 new cases reported
