Fort Myers police investigating assault at downtown library

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating an assault at the library in downtown Fort Myers that occurred on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred prior to the library opening, said Fort Myers police spokeswoman Kristin Capuzzi.

No arrests have been made.

Capuzzi said the victim went on their own to the hospital for treatment after the fact.

Capuzzi said there was no more information or details she could release, but the police department is asking for tips.
