Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon during an East Naples traffic stop in which detectives seized large quantities of fentanyl and heroin.

Detectives with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau pulled over a vehicle containing two men from Naples in the 6000 block of Radio Road around 5:30 p.m. They discovered the driver, 45-year-old Shawn Alan Williams, had a suspended license and was a habitual traffic offender. His passenger, 32-year-old Jerrett Lee Michael Miles, also had a suspended license.

Williams was arrested for driving on a suspended license. Detectives then searched the vehicle and found:

  • Fentanyl, 24.8 grams
  • Heroin, 5.2 grams
  • Methamphetamine, 13.5 grams
  • $3,225 cash packaged in bundles in separate plastic bags
  • Narcotic paraphernalia
  • A bundle of small plastic bags typically used to package narcotics

In addition to driving on a suspended license, Williams and Miles both face charges of trafficking in fentanyl, 4 grams or more; heroin trafficking, 4 grams to 30 kilograms; possession of a controlled substance – amphetamine; and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
