Authorities are searching for a man they say intentionally lit an item on fire at a convenience store in Lehigh Acres.

The incident happened at the Qwikway Market at 233 Joel Boulevard on Tuesday just before 9 p.m.

According to SWFL Crime Stoppers, the suspect arrived in a new model silver SUV, possibly a 2014 to 2021 Jeep.

He is accused of deliberately setting fire to an item on the shelf and then walking away.

Employees discovered and extinguished the fire.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
