Fire in Fort Myers affects seven people

A fire broke out in a Fort Myers home on Thursday night.

The blaze began in the kitchen of a home in the 3200 block of Willin Street just after 10 p.m.

Seven people, including four children, were affected, according to the Fort Myers Fire Department.

The fire was contained and no one was injured, the fire department said.

The Red Cross said they dispatched a disaster action team to the home and provided aid to the seven people affected, including emergency financial assistance, health and mental health services.
