Less humid, but windy on Friday with a few afternoon showers

With the strong cold front that moved through Thursday now south of our area, we’ll get to experience a nice drop in humidity throughout Friday. Cooler air will begin moving in Friday, and as it does so, winds will continue to pick up out of the west.

Look for winds sustained between 15 to 25 mph and gusts of up to and over 30 mph.

In the wake of the front, a few fast-moving showers will track through the area this afternoon into this evening and overnight. Temperatures should only manage to warm into the low to mid-80s after starting out in the mid to upper 70s this morning.

Breezy weather persists into Saturday where we should really start to feel a cooler airmass settle in. Most of the day will feature temperatures in the 70s with some areas not even expected to break 80 degrees. Look for some additional isolated passing shower activity.

Trick-or-treaters are in for a real treat Sunday for Halloween! We’ll be dry and pleasant, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Temperatures are set to cool into the upper 50s and low 60s by Monday morning.
