A teenager is in serious condition after being hit by a truck on Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 16-year-old girl was crossing Bayshore Road near Williams road just before 8:50 p.m. on Sunday. Troopers say a pickup truck traveling southwest on Bayshore Road hit the teen as she was crossing. Troopers say the teen was using a crosswalk.
FHP says the driver of the truck remained on the scene. They say two people were in the truck, but neither was hurt.
Troopers say the 16-year-old that was hit is in serious condition.
FHP has not said if the driver of the truck will face any charges.
