14-year-old Phillip Byrd and 13-year-old Connor Pruitt have both plead not guilty to plotting a shooting at Harns Marsh Middle School, and a judge granted their attorneys’ requests for a continuance until December.

Their next appearance in court will be at 9 a.m. on Dec. 1. Judge Gilberto Perez agreed to the continuance requests on the grounds that more time was needed to go through evidence in the case, but said he does not anticipate granting further continuance.

Neither Pruett nor Byrd was present in court Wednesday.
