Two arrested after deputies find drugs in home

Charlotte County deputies have arrested a man and woman after finding more than 22 pounds of cannabis, nine pounds of THC wax and a large number of pre-packaged edibles in a Port Charlotte home.

Baylie C. Bagwell and Devan T. Brandon are being held at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.

Deputies arrested the two after a search at a home in the 22000 block of Hernando Ave.

In addition to the drugs, authorities also found a bottle of Promethazine, numerous firearms, a plethora of bongs and more than $19,000 in cash.

They face charges of possession with intent to sell marijuana, possession with intent to sell THC wax, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
