Naples woman arrested for DUI crash that killed one

A 58-year-old Naples woman has been arrested for her involvement in an August crash that left one man dead.

Patricia Hofferberth faces charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and DUI property damage, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said Hofferberth had a blood alcohol content level of .229. The legal limit is .08.

The crash happened on Aug. 31, 2021, in Collier County near Collier and Capri boulevards.

FHP said Hofferberth was driving her SUV south on Collier Boulevard when she traveled over the median and struck a 62-year-old man who was standing outside of a vehicle on Capri Boulevard.

The man died on scene.

Hofferberth was booked into Collier County Jail on Thursday.
