Products are flying off the shelves as some shoppers do some last-minute Thanksgiving shopping.

Many grocery stores have put limits on some of their staples.

Some shoppers said they know they may not find what they are looking for and will have to adjust.

At one Walmart in Cape Coral, the cranberry sauce was gone.

Shawnetta Horne struggled.

“I could not find the cranberry sauce or green beans so I’m going out to Publix to see if I can find it,” Horne said.

Publix warned people hunting for cream cheese that if it’s there, you’re limited to only two tubs.

Half-and-half is also a hot commodity.

Susan Rovell said she could not find half-and-half or whipping cream.

“So we’re going to have to either go to another store or make another dessert,” Rovell said.

Brand name food items are first to go.

Veteran shoppers said with the stores ready to close for the holiday, you may have to substitute a store brand for the name brand.

Other shoppers said they would try their luck at other stores.
