A 27-year-old Collier County man was arrested during a probation check after authorities found drugs and firearms in his possession.

Daniel Nielson faces charges of trafficking LSD, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl and several other drug-related offenses.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and state probation officers checked on Nielson on Friday night when they found the items.

“This is one of the many partnerships that help us keep Collier County safe,” Sheriff Rambosk said in a statement. “We want our community to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure that those who are under supervision are living within the conditions of their probation.”
