Two North Fort Myers men were arrested on Sunday evening and face charges of assault and false imprisonment.

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies went to the Walmart at 545 Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers after receiving reports of an assault. They spoke to the victim, who said he was attacked and held at gunpoint. The victim was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

Deputies found the suspects, Scott Burns, 42, and Roy Nowling, 58. A BB gun, which was identified by the victim as the weapon used in his assault, was recovered along with live rifle ammunition.

Both men face charges of false imprisonment and aggravated assault. Burns alone faces a charge of battery, and Nowling faces a charge of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. They were both transported and booked into the Lee County Jail.
