The new monoclonal antibody treatment site in Naples has already become relatively popular. But, getting an appointment there has become more confusing.

The confusion comes from people not knowing how to schedule an appointment at the site. If you search online, the state’s website shows a monoclonal treatment site in Naples and Collier County. But, the Florida Department of Health in Collier County says the only way to save your spot in line is to call.

You might need to pack your patience if you’re looking for monoclonal therapy in Collier County.

The conference room at the Naples Beach Hotel is now a makeshift clinic, and it opened on Thursday morning.

And on Thursday, people who spoke to WINK News said they’d been able to make their appointments online. But, by Friday, that was no longer an option.

When we reached out to FDOH-Collier, we were told that you have to make a phone call to get an appointment. “Hello, and thank you for calling CDR Health Monoclonal Antibody treatment support line,” the recording said.

However, calling after 5 p.m. will get you a different result. “Thank you for calling the CDR Health Monoclonal Antibody treatment support line. Our offices are currently closed.”

But, the recording also instructs you to go online to make your appointment. Confusing right?

To find a location and schedule an appointment for the monoclonal antibody treatment, please visit www.patientportalfl.com that’s p-a-t-I-e-n-t-p-o-r-t-a-l-f-l.com.”

But checking the website does not allow patients to sign up for an appointment.

So again, your best chance is to call. “For further assistance, please call back at normal business hours.”

The silver lining in all of this is that the monoclonal treatment support line is available seven days a week. But, to schedule an appointment, you must call between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

MORE: To reach the support line, you can call this number 850-344-9637. And call 239-367-3223 to schedule an appointment.
