A former Collier County elementary school teacher accused of molesting dozens of children has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Hector Manley was also found to be a sexual predator. He is to have no contact with victims and will be placed on sex offender probation after being released from prison, according to a Collier County court spokesperson.

He pleaded no contest and was adjudicated guilty on 20 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12.

In March of 2019, Manley turned himself in for molestation and sexual battery charges after former students and their families came forward accusing him of inappropriate behavior.

Manley taught second grade at Parkside Elementary School in Collier County.
