Ambulance. (Credit: WINK News) A 14-year-old boy was killed while riding his bicycle in Port Charlotte Tuesday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old man was driving south on US-41 approaching the intersection of Murdoch Circle around 5:30 a.m. The bicyclist attempted to cross US-41 and went into the path of the car. The vehicle struck the boy and he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. FHP says the crash investigation remains ongoing.
